2025 In-Person, Virtual, and Choice Series Options: We have decided to remove the fully virtual race series option for 2025 due to low participation. Understanding that the choice format provides more flexibility for our community, we are now offering a fully “Choice” format for our race series. This means you’re welcome to race with us in person every week. However, if you can’t make it or if the weather isn’t ideal on race night, you can still participate by racing on another day during the week and submitted your results online.
Please note that non-members will need to purchase a day or annual membership to race on a non-race night.
We hope this new format works better for everyone and allows for even more opportunities to race!
Cancellation Policy: Catamount OFC’s weekly race series registration is non-refundable at the time of purchase. Once your registration is submitted and payment is processed, it cannot be refunded under any circumstances. We understand that unforeseen situations can arise, but we are unable to offer refunds due to the planning and resources dedicated to each race. Under certain circumstances, your race series entry can be transferred to another person if you are unable to participate. Please contact us in advance to arrange a transfer. Thank you for understanding and for supporting our race series!

The Race Courses
The race course for each week will be announced Sunday night at the top of this webpage. You may also check our social media and ‘The Hub’ in the parking lot for weekly race course information. Runners can choose between a 2.5k “Half Lap” course or a 5k (with 10k options on the first Tuesday of each month) for the season. Bikers can choose between a 2.5k “Half Lap” or one to four 5k laps. Distances are approximate and may vary each year based on the course.
2025 courses will be announced this Spring!
2024 Black Arrows on White Squares
The Goose Hill race course is always a fan favorite for Catamount’s weekly running series. This year the course will start heading west towards Farm Road and Applesauce trails. A trip around the Garden field gives racers full views of the Greens, Adirondacks, and the Lake. Then it’s into the woods for a quick uphill on Monster Berms followed by all of Shovelhead. Catch your breath on Black Bridge and Bobolink fields before climbing the grassy hill and descending the open field into the finish area.
1/2 Lap cuts left before going into Elliots Oaks down Sumac
2024 Red Arrows on Black Squares
Red on Black course will take racers all the way to the forgotten Cow Path and back for 5km laps across some of Catamounts drier and smoother trails. After a lap around Elbow racers will go down Woodstrace road to Porcupine turnoff. Then working back towards Hawk and Moose Poop using the gravel Sandmans trail. The tough climb up Rock Ridge will be rewarded with a fun and turny decent down Newts and Twister. From there the course heads up to Fred and Ethel on its way to Night and then the finish back in the event field.
1/2 Lap will cut from Porcupine up Rock Ridge to Newts
2024 Yellow Arrows on Green Squares
The Lookout course is always a tough ride that rewards the long climb up Bear Run with an equally long descent down Pops and Trout Lily. The course this year heads from the firepit start area straight towards Gravy Train and then all the way around Slalom before the Bear Run climb. This course has a lot of single track, so pass when you can and be polite.
1/2 lap cut off is the top of Power lines over to start of Trout Lily
