 The Catamount Outdoor Family Center (COFC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that resides on the Town of  Williston’s Catamount Community Forest. While the town manages the forests, fields, and ponds on the property, the COFC manages the trails and the recreational and educational opportunities for the community.

 The Catamount Outdoor Family Center has faced significant challenges this year. After enduring severe weather that damaged our facilities and operations, including flooding and an unusually light winter, our foundation remains unstable.

Every day, people are enjoying our trails for rides, adventurous hikes, and indulging in wildlife viewing. We urgently need your support to overcome these financial hardships and achieve sustainability. With the help of a recent $126,500 VOREC Planning Grant, we’re making strides towards a new ADA accessible building to house Catamount’s vital functions. Your contribution to our 2024 Annual Fund will fill critical gaps in our budgets, support daily operations, and propel us towards the construction phase of our new facility.

Additionally, we are focused on enhancing and expanding our 25+ mile trail network, ensuring it remains resilient, accessible, and sustainable for all users.
