CATAMOUNT CYCLING & TRAIL RUNNING CLUBS

For those who feel passionately about mountain biking and/or trail running who know that the sport goes far beyond roots, rocks, and loam.

Team camaraderie and collective stoke are catalysts for pushing personal limits and encouraging others, while growing as a person and as an athlete. We are thrilled to once again offer the Catamount Cycling Club for the 2023 riding season.

By joining one or both of Catamount’s Clubs, riders & runners can expect to gain confidence in ability, develop new skills, meet other youth athletes, and spend quality time on the trails in the Catamount Community Forest. Under the expertise of Catamount’s Instructors, our clubs offer opportunities to take your passion to the next level.

Club Member Perks

CLUB DETAILS

The Cycling Club and Trail Running Club are designed for young riders and runners with a passion for the outdoors and their sport!

Cycling Club: Ages 8-12
We ask that participants join with the ability to execute basic riding safety and that they feel comfortable riding on narrow single track. Joining the club will provide opportunities to experience different types of riding and advance their skills. On Wednesday afternoons, club members have the option to stay late and participate in the weekly mountain bike race starting at 6pm (weather dependent)!

Trail Running Club: Ages 8-12
We ask that club members join with the ability to run 1 mile. Joining the club will provide opportunities to experience different types of trails and advance their skills. On Tuesday afternoons, club members have the option to stay late and participate in the weekly 5k race starting at 6pm (weather dependent)! The first Tuesday of each month will have a 10k option.

Both clubs will have a club member to staff ratio of 1:8

$1000 for 5 months

Coaching Sessions

Catamount Clubs are offered from May – October in 2023:

Cycling Club: Monday & Wednesday: 4:00-5:30pm

On inclement weather days, sessions will move indoors and focus on bike maintenance.

Trail Running Club: Tuesday & Thursday: 4:00-5:30pm

On inclement weather days, sessions will move indoors and focus on stretching and strength building.

WHAT WILL PRACTICES BE LIKE?

A typical practice with The Catamount Club will consist of a variety of fun and deliberate activities. On any given day, Club members can expect to limber up with some stretching, get their heart rate up on an exciting trail adventure, and slow it down and practice skills.

While there is no strict attendance policy, we hope that you can join us for as many practices as possible!
