In partnership with the Richard Tom Foundation, we are thrilled to offer a Fat Bike Rally (weather & snow condition dependent). This is a great opportunity to explore the groomed fat bike trails throughout the Catamount Community Forest! Limited fat bike demos will be available for 50 minute rentals on a first come, first served basis. Burgers & Brats will be provided by the Richard Tom Foundation! Participate in the Fat Bike Dual Slalom ($5 entry-must have your own bike)…spectator friendly event. Check out our Snow Dog trail groomer. This is a free event, but donations are greatly appreciated to help support our groomed fat bike network.

Group rides will be offered, and Catamount has a limited number of rental bikes available. Priority will be given to those participating in a group ride, and will be limited to 50 minutes per ride. No advanced reservations are available for bikes! Although the bikes are available for free demos, a credit card is required to be held on file for all bike rentals.
For riders with their own bikes, enter the Dual Slalom ($5), and test your skills on our dual slalom course. Starting at 1pm, there will be heats for all ages! And, at 2pm, find a friend with skis, and sign up for the race on Electric Ave where the skier and biker will race on side by side courses to see who is fastest!
Schedule for the day:
10am: Pride Rides will be hosting a group fat bike ride starting at 10am. Meet in the parking lot by the big pink and black SDR tent and Pride Rides banner. Pride Rides is an LGBTQIA+ bicycle organization and the group rides are open to LGBTQIA people and their allies! A limited number of fat bikes will be available for folks who don’t have a fat bike for the event. Send an email to prideridesvt@gmail.com with your bike size or height to reserve a bike for the ride. We’ll ride for about an hour; the pace of the rides are social and friendly to beginner level riders. Post ride we’ll have some treats(bike snacks, could be cookies, could be donuts, maybe both, will be coffee!) in the parking lot and then join in on the rest of the fat bike rally fun!
