Hello Catamount family, 

Happy Summer and welcome to our 2025 Annual Fund ask!

We’ve been busy this year with a decent short winter, big summer camps, growing weekly race series, and tons of planning and permitting for trail upgrades and the new building. On the flip side, wet spring weather dampened visits dramatically and clinics have been rescheduled several times due to rain.

Our $126,500 VOREC Building Planning and $50,000 RTP Trail grants are vital to these projects’ success, but are not the only inputs required. Act 250 and related permits with stormwater engineering, wetlands delineations, septic design, and archeological review are separate and projected to cost $70-100,000 in addition to the building design and Balsams Trailhead project. 

Your Annual Fund gift will help support these key steps in the process.

The Catamount Outdoor Family Center also invests ~$100,000 every year into mowing, clearing and maintaining the trails, including all the machinery and tools, plowing the parking lot, managing portapotties and more. This work benefits all who visit, pedestrians especially, regardless of whether they support us or not. 

All of this work is time-consuming and expensive, but absolutely vital to the long term health of the Catamount Community Forest trail network and the Catamount Outdoor Family Center. With your gift to the 2025 Annual Fund, this dream moves closer to reality.
