DESCRIPTION:Kick off the riding season with us at Catamount! \nJoin our team for a fun\, welcoming mountain bike skills clinic designed for youth ages 6–14. This special session doubles as a coach training day\, meaning your rider will get to learn alongside (and help train!) our coaching staff as they gear up for summer programs. \nWhether your child is new to trails or getting ready for camp or club\, this is a great opportunity to build confidence\, practice foundational skills\, meet the team\, and enjoy time on the bike before the season begins. \nDuring the session\, riders will: \n\nComplete a basic bike safety check\nParticipate in a low-pressure skill assessment\nLearn and practice core riding skills\nHead out for a fun\, guided trail ride\n\nThis clinic is open to current campers and club members\, and helps ensure riders are ready for a safe and successful summer. \nCamp & Club Skill Expectations \nTo get the most out of our programs\, riders should be able to: \n\nRide confidently on flat\, varied terrain (grass\, dirt\, gravel\, roots)\nRide without training wheels\nTurn in both directions\nStop safely when directed\n\nEvent Details \n\nDate: May 9th\nTime: 1:30–3:00 PM\nCost: Free\nRegistration required\n\nWhat to Bring \n\nMountain bike in good working order\nProperly fitted helmet\nWater bottle\nSnacks\nComfortable\, active clothing (layers recommended)\nRain jacket (recommended)\nSunglasses (optional)\nRiding gloves (optional)\nBasic repair kit (optional)\n\nImportant Notes \n\nSpace is limited—please register in advance\nArrive 15 minutes early for check-in\nA parent/guardian must remain onsite for participants under 14\n\nQuestions?\nEmail: programs@catamountoutdoor.org \nSee you there!
