We are thrilled to once again offer the Catamount Cycling Club for the 2023 riding season. \nThe Cycling Club is designed for young riders with a passion for the outdoors and their sport!\nCycling Club: Ages 8-12\nWe ask that participants join with the ability to execute basic riding safety and that they feel comfortable riding on narrow single track. Joining the club will provide opportunities to experience different types of riding and advance their skills. It can provide a more complete body workout if desired. DESCRIPTION:Catamount Outdoor Family Center in conjunction with UVM Cycling are joining forces for anther summer Dual Slalom Series starting on July 20th! This 5 part series will run every other Thursday night this summer and into the fall. \nAll experience levels are welcome and encouraged! Multiple brackets will be run based on individual qualification times. \nYou can expect a classic head-to-head race in a laid-back environment. This summer series is the perfect opportunity to schralp some corners\, get some (optional) air\, and hang out with a fun community of bikers. Quali runs will begin at 6pm and brackets will follow. \nRegistration is is night-of and will be $10 per entry. This will be collected by staff on the SouthSide if the Hub is closed. Folks who show a current student ID will get a discounted entry fee of $7. \nDual Slalom 2023 Dates: \n\nJuly 27th\nAugust 10th\nAugust 24th\nSeptember 7th\nSeptember 21st

We will explore beginner and intermediate trails and terrain including roots\, rocks\, dirt and wood features. We will also play some bike games while practicing drills and skills. We will continue to practice braking\, body positioning on the bike and skill blending (breaking\, riding\, shifting and pedaling). This summer series is the perfect opportunity to schralp some corners\, get some (optional) air\, and hang out with a fun community of bikers. Quali runs will begin at 6pm and brackets will follow. \nRegistration is is night-of and will be $10 per entry. This will be collected by staff on the SouthSide if the Hub is closed. DESCRIPTION:For those who feel passionately about mountain biking who know that the sport goes far beyond roots\, rocks\, and loam.\nTeam camaraderie and collective stoke are catalysts for pushing personal limits and encouraging others\, while growing as a person and as an athlete. We are thrilled to once again offer the Catamount Cycling Club for the 2023 riding season. \nThe Cycling Club is designed for young riders with a passion for the outdoors and their sport!\nCycling Club: Ages 8-12\nWe ask that participants join with the ability to execute basic riding safety and that they feel comfortable riding on narrow single track. Joining the club will provide opportunities to experience different types of riding and advance their skills. On Wednesday afternoons\, club members have the option to stay late and participate in the weekly mountain bike race starting at 6pm (weather dependent)! \nMore information and registration found here
