DESCRIPTION:Join Catamount’s creators Jim & Lucy McCullough for a Nordic Walking and Trekking Series this summer! \nNordic Walking provides increased stability. It can provide a more complete body workout if desired. We will be offering basic instruction on the proper use of trekking poles while walking on easy trails; progressing to more challenging terrain as the group dictates and progresses. \nJim promises\, “Some talk… more walk” with interesting history of Catamount and the Catamount Community Forest. \nMake sure to bring your trekking poles. We will have a limited number of trekking poles available for renting at $5 each. \nWho: Lucy and Jim McCullough; Nordic Walking and Trekking instructors\nWhat: Nordic Walking and Trekking instruction and tours\nWhen: 1st and 3rd Friday of the month; June 2- August 25; 6:00-7:15 PM\nWhere: Catamount Outdoor Family Center\nCost: $5 each – Please arrive at 5:45pm to allow time to check in at the Hub and get your name tag.

We will explorer the Catamount Community Forest on bikes while foraging for fungi finds! \nPlease dress appropriately for time and space travel\, as we plan to cover a few billion years and visit different galaxies as we roll over and climb some of narrow but friendly trails towards LookOut. Please bring water and snacks as well as cameras and container for your fungi finds! \nThis event is open to all ages and background but ability to ride a bike on intermediate/blue terrain is required.  \nSpace is limited to 15 people. \nRegistration is $15/person
